# 4 - I Will Build My Church

Matthew 16:18, "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church…" (ESV)

When Peter made the astounding confession: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God,” Jesus affirmed that this was a divine revelation to him from God the Father. (Matthew 16:16-17). Jesus also declared to His disciples that this confession was indeed the foundation on which the church would be built. When Jesus said, “On this rock,” we know that Peter’s name meant ‘rock’, but we also know that Jesus Christ Himself was the spiritual rock (1 Corinthians 10:4). 

Take note that Jesus asserted that He alone would build the church. In 1 Corinthians Chapter 3:8,9, the Apostle Paul clearly explains this truth, that all those who labor for the Kingdom of God are just “God’s fellow-workers.” As the Lord alone is the builder of the church, from Him alone comes growth and increase. That is why we read, in Acts 2:47, “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (NKJV).

We can use all of our human wisdom, effort, prowess, resources, influence and technological advancements to enhance the work of the church. However, Psalm 127:1 reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it, labor in vain.” The word ‘house,’ can be attributed to the House of God as well. It is only when we allow Jesus Christ to build His Church will all our endeavors prove fruitful.

    Then it is our duty to check if we are doing what theAppostles did and taught us I believe that was THE FIRST CHURCH IN ACTION.Instead if we are trying to help GOD HE DOESN'T NEED OUR HELP WE NEED HIS HELP.WE SHOULD TRY TO DO GOD A SERVICE WITH OUT IT BEING HIS WILL.GOD REQUIRES OBEDIENCE WHICH IS BETTER THEN SACRIFICE.REBELLION IS WORSE THEN WITCHCRAFT
    GOD IS IN THE PROCESS GETTING HIS BODY TOGETHER ACCORDING TO HIS PREDESTINATED PLAN
    GOD IS SUPREME WE NEED TO FALL IN LINE WITH WHAT HE IS DOING TODAY FOR HIS OWN.HE SAYS I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU .GOD IS AN ON TIME GOD HE HAS ALL THINGS IN HIS CONTROL WE CAN TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD,HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY BUT NOT HIS WORD GOD'S MEETING PLACE IS HIS WORD AMEN GOOD MORNING GOD BLESS YOU ALL

The Church Defined # 20 – Influencers Click here for the Audio Version -   Influencers Matthew 5:13 , “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.” (ESV) Jesus’ analogy of salt was an extremely profound one. A huge jar of unused salt will benefit no one. However, even a little salt added to any dish will make a big difference to it’s taste. The presence of salt will not go unnoticed, so also it’s absence. If salt loses its saltiness it will become totally useless. Jesus referred to us as the ‘salt of the earth’ to help us understand that we the church are chosen to be a godly influence in this world. The Church Defined # 19 – Disciple Makers Click here for the Audio Version: Disciple Makers Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (NKJV) The mandate to ‘make disciples’ of all nations, has to a large extent, become the Great Omission in the Great Commission.
